Thanks for your support, Glenys and girls!

First injection was absolutely fine. Rather than pinching an inch, Steve pinched a foot (all you can do when you're my size) and I pushed the stuff in. No pain at alll.

It looks as if I may have to come off it already, though RollEyes as I've managed to pick up yet another chest infection!!!

Love to you all

Jeanxxx

Love Pleased your injection went well jean. Sorry you have a chest infection ,i hope your feeling better soon. I can remember my Nanna rubbing goose grease on my chest when i was a little girl, i hated it. It used to stick to my liberty bodice ! Can you remember what they were? Maybe you are younger than me!

Oh my goodness, Kathleen - I certainly DO remember liberty bodices! I'm 66 so older even than Doreen LOL LOL LOL
My Mum used to put mustard and lard on my chest poultices and they were absolutely disgusting!! Maybe I should try one if the infection doesn't clear! I have to say I feel much better this morning and haven't coughed so much during the night.

Love Jeanxxx

I remember the liberty bodice too, but my mam used to put a kaolin poultice on my chest - ugh, ugh, and double ugh!!!!!!! Bad enough when they first went one, but horrible when they went cold.

We ALWAYS wore vests under our bodices!! I remember not being allowed to take my vest off until the end of May! And Kathleen, do I remember that horrid, sticky, clammy mess when the poultice had gone cold?...oh yes!! xxxxx

Glad to hear you a feeling a bit better Jean. I don't go as far back as the liberty bodice but always a vest. My mum used to cover me in Vick when I was little. Back and front - tingly skin and streaming eyes - you forgot to cough!

Happy days!!

Hmmm...if Steve massaged me, Melly, I'd probably end up through the bed. He's not know for his gentleness - patience, yes, but gentleness no! LOL LOL
